Travel agents can win an iPod Touch by learning about oneworld

2008 年 9 月 25 日

Travel agents around the world have a chance to win an iPod Touch when they find out all about oneworld, the leading quality global airline alliance.

All they have to do is to complete its fun on-line training module.  Every agent achieving a pass grade - even when helped by the prompts - will be entered in a draw, with one of the top of the range MP3 players up for grabs every three months.

oneworld's Learning Forum is a game-based learning tool designed to teach travel agents all they need to know about the world's leading quality alliance - its member airlines, the alliance's services and benefits, its unmatched range of fares and more.

Developed on the premise that the best way to learn is when you are having fun, it is based on a game in which participants "fly" around the world with oneworld member airlines, "earning" their next trip by answering questions correctly.  If they get stuck, there's a way of finding out the right answers within the module.

Completing the full self-study module should take around 45 minutes, but you can "freeze" your session and resume it later another day.

Travel agents can access the oneworld Learning Forum through the travel agent section of oneworld.com or directly at travelagent.oneworld.com where full details are available.

About oneworld

oneworld brings together some of the best and biggest names in the airline business - American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LAN, Malév Hungarian Airlines, Qantas and Royal Jordanian, plus some 20 affiliates, including American Eagle, South Africa's Comair, Dragonair, LAN Argentina, LAN Ecuador and LAN Peru.  Mexicana will join in 2009, with its subsidiary Click Mexicana as an affiliate.

Its airlines serve some 700 destinations in 150 countries and offer almost 550 airport lounges worldwide.  They carried around 320 million passengers last year.  It is the only alliance with any member based in South America, Asia's Middle East or Australia.

oneworld enables its members to offer their customers more services and benefits than any airline can provide on its own.  These include a broader route network, opportunities to earn and redeem frequent flyer miles and points across the combined oneworld network and more airport lounges.  oneworld is the only alliance to enable passengers to fly throughout its network, on any combination of carriers, using just electronic tickets.

oneworld was voted the world's leading airline alliance for the fifth year running in the 2007 World Travel Awards, based on votes cast by some 170,000 travel professionals, including more than 110,000 travel agents in 200 countries.
